Updating Sorrel

When you launch Sorrel, it automatically checks for new versions. If an update is available, you’ll see a notification inside the app with a link to the Download Page.

Manual Update Instructions

macOS

1. Open Sorrel. If an update is available, you’ll be notified.

2. Or, visit the official Sorrel download page.

3. Download the latest .dmg file.

4. Open the .dmg and drag the Sorrel icon to the Applications folder.

   • If prompted, choose to replace the existing app.

5. Launch Sorrel. Your data will remain intact.

You may need to follow the same “unidentified developer” steps as during your first install.

Windows

1. Open Sorrel. If an update is available, you’ll see a prompt or link to download it.

2. Or, go directly to the Sorrel download page.

3. Download the latest .exe file.

4. Run the installer and follow the instructions.

   • If Sorrel is already installed, the setup will replace the old version.

5. Open Sorrel as usual—your notes and settings are preserved.
